Unanimous decision win in London

Gunnar defeated the veteran Jorge Santiago with a unanimous decision at UFC on Fuel TV 7 on Saturday February 16th in the Wembley Arena in London, England. Gunnar had good control over the fight but in the first round the fighters where getting their rhythm. Gunnar took Jorge down once in the round but was unable to keep the BJJ black belt for over 10 years down at that time. However, Gunnar kept his calm and in the second round he dominated and took Jorge down after only 1 minute and 10 seconds. The Brazilian veteran defended well but Gunnar finally past his guard and even mounted Jorge, something that now other MMA fighter have been able to do in Jorge's 35 fights in his 11 year as a professional MMA fighter. From mount Gunnar landed some vicious elbows but wasn't able to finish Jorge before the time ran out. However Santiago was quite battered after the round and staggering to his corner. In the third round the fighters fought a standup war with Gunnar by far landing more efficient strikes that had Jorge is a lots of trouble couple of times but was able to put him away. However earning him a unanimous decision over the veteran fighter. A great win for Gunnar and a very good test but Gunnar hasn't gone into the 3rd round since his MMA debut in 2007. Gunnar is still undefeated in his MMA career with 11 wins in his last 11 fights.
