Gunnar fighting Mike Pyle at UFC 160
Gunnar will be fighting the longtime veteran Mike "Quicksand" Pyle (29-8-1) at UFC 160 on May 25, Memorial Day weekend, at Pyle's home ground at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas. Gunnar is of course coming from a unanimous decision win over Jorge Santiago (25-11) at UFC on Fuel TV 7 in London in February. That was Gunnar's 11th straight win but Gunnar is undefeated in his MMA career.
Pyle is also on a great run coming from an impressive three-fight win streak that includes first-round finishes of James Head, Josh Neer and Ricardo Funch. Pyle is in fact 6-1 in his last seven UFC fights losing only to top contender Rory MacDonald who is #3 at the UFC welterweight rankings. Gunnar is looking very much forward to facing such a great veteran of the sport.
