Here we go again - Edwards out, Santiago in
Let's hope this does not become a habit but like in Gunnar's UFC debut in Nottingham his original opponent for UFC in London on February 16th, Justin "Fast Eddy" Edwards, has now withdrawn from the fight because of an injury. He will be replaced by the very well decorated and experienced Jorge "The Sandman" Santiago. Santiago has fought at least 35 pro MMA fights with 25 wins thereof the impressive record of 23 stoppages. He has won his last two fights early in the first round. He is the former Sengoku middleweight champion and defended that title two times. Santiago has fought middleweight but is now moving down to welterweight. Fight Matrix has him now ranked nr. 23 in the middleweight division (got as high as nr. 3 in 2009) but Gunnar is ranked nr. 62 in welterweight. This will be Gunnar's toughest test so far but he is well up to it and looking forward to meeting such a well-known. talented and decorated fighter in the Octagon.
